Energizing Presentations for the Japanese Community in Bangkok

On Aug. 30th and Sept. 2nd, I had an opportunity to speak about ARC to around 80 Japanese people at Salon hors du Temps in Sukumwit Soi 35. In this cozy flat, the owner Ms. Seiko Kakogawa puts together various cultural activities such as concerts, cooking class, activities for small children, etc.

Actually, I was a bit worried if I could make a good presentation as I flew back from Tokyo to Bangkok the night before. But I was overwhelmed by the positive energy of the audience and did not have time to feel tired at all!

To everyone's happy surprise, we could raise over 80,000 baht over the two days! What was more exciting was that I met so many passionate people who want to be involved in our activities. As I have worked in grassroot community in Thailand since I started ARC, I hardly knew Japanese people living in Thailand. Thanks to Seiko-san and many others, I can feel that the circle of support for ARC has grown significantly.

I have made many presentations about ARC over the passed 6 years. None of them went terribly wrong (thank goodness), but there have been many OK ones, some good ones, and a few great ones. I must say these ones are easily categorized as great ones!
