You need to go to Chang Puak bus station, pretty much said as it is written but here is the Thai to show if necessary – สถานีขนส่งช้างเผือก
tuk tuk
Ask at your hotel how to get there. They will probably say tuk tuk which you can get off the street and looks like ‘photo’, or get a red truck (like the yellow one in picture above), which is cheaper and say where you want to go. Should not take more than 10 minutes to get there.

When you get to the station (image above and below), on the right hand side of the bus station (away from the ‘island’ in the middle), will be a little booth with a large red and white sign outside. It should say Chiang Mai – Prao (spelt wrong!). Buy your ticket there and then ask them to show you which bus.

bus terminal
Failing all this, when you get to the station look lost and tell someone you want to go to PHRAO (พร้าว). It will take 2 hours, do not get off until the very end. When you got the ticket, please give us a call, and we will be at the Phrao bus terminal, waiting for you!
